Laci & Zachary were married on October, 19th 2019 at The Pearl at Sabine Creek & it couldn’t have been more of a perfect day! The sun was shining so bright & the weather was just so perfect, I mean we live in texas so it could have really got anyway LOL!
Laci & Zach’s story was one that goes to the heart. They actually got married on the year anniversary of their marriage – if that makes sense! Zach enlisted to go into the army & they decided to not wait to become on. However, they knew that they wanted a big wedding so they started planning it exactly a year later! I am not sure how Laci held it together because she planned their wedding while Zach was in basic training & living miles apart from each other, but she did it & it was the most perfect day.
Their wedding was such a party, they were surrounded by so many friends & family that came to witness them become one! Their wedding had so many touches that I loved. First was Zach’s reaction when he saw his bride for the first time coming down the aisle! To the navy blue & gold cake – can we say stunning? Then painting unity ceremony, that brought tears to my eyes because I had never seen anything like that before – it was definitely unique to them because they can put it in their house forever & remember that moment in time! I even loved all the greenery that was throughout the reception hall, it just was the perfect combination of colors for the white backdrop of the venue. Oh, & I can’t forget to mention Laci’s amazing wedding dress. It was so elegant & she looked like a freaking bombshell! So many details that I can talk about but we would be here forever lol! Their reception was a huge party & I don’t think I have ever seen a father & daughter dance get down the way Laci’s & her dad got down LOL. They also played this hilarious game with some newlyweds from the guest, I tell all my brides about it now just in case they want to play it lol.
I am so honored these two choose me to be their wedding photographer & I can’t wait to share their full galley with them. Until then, here are some sneaks to hold everyone over! Congratulations again, Laci & Zach!
Danielle & Justin got in touch with me when her wedding planner/bridesmaid gave her a list of photographers! When she first reached out to me she sounded cool over the internet but you know how people can sound cool but then be totally different in real life? Yeah well… She was the exact same in real life. Her & Justin both were just super chill, down to earth people. We met at Starbucks were i obsessed over her hair color (it was blue, i of course at the time had purple hair). We basically hit it off & immediately became friends. Even if they were to go in a different direction for their wedding i would have asked to remain friends LOL.
When we originally met for their consultation their wedding was going to be in Hillsboro Texas, in this cute little old warehouse. It was going have a coffee bar, full blown
Chick-fil-a catering & have a ton of Harry Potter details. However, about a month & half before their wedding i get this phone call asking if i could talk. One a photographer never wants to hear those words, I immediately was looking at my calendar seeing if i forgot a meeting but i didn’t. They wanted to talk to me about them canceling their huge wedding here in the DFW area & going to one of their/mine favorite places ever…. Colorado. When they said that i just was like HELL YES without a doubt i will be there. Mannnn that weekend was a world wind, i had 4 yes 4 weddings that weekend. So needless to say i was tired but running on excitement.
Their wedding in Colorado i would call, Perfect. It literally was them in a wedding. Chill, Laid Back & Down to Earth surrounded by their closest friends & family members. Her Harry Potter touches still remained in tact throughout her wedding day & they had Dominos & Chick-Fil-A for catering, can you say amazing? Her dress was absolutely stunning with all the detail on it & her shoes were the BOMB. Justin had a custom suit made & man boy got that STYLE – probably one of my favorite suite to date. They got married on the most magical of hill tops at the Garden Of the Gods in Colorado Springs, they were surrounded by stunning nature & amazing sunshine. I honestly don’t think they could have picked a more perfect day to get married & i am so glad that i was there to witness it not only as their wedding photographer, but their friend! I am so excited to watch this next chapter of their lives unfold!
Congratulations, again Mr. & Mrs. Sweely!
Where can I even start with this blog? When I first spoke to Carolyn I knew that we were going to become more than just a vendor-client relationship. Well, life happened & she went in a different direction for photography, that’s totally fine I respected their decision. A couple months had passed when her coordinator Ammie with Glitter & Glue Weddings and Event reached out to me and asked if I still had their date & I said YES! I was so honored that they choose me after all the time had passed. Since that day I have grown a bond with Carolyn & Matt during their wedding journey. I took their engagements, Carolyn’s bridals & of course their wedding. Getting two know these two on a personal level has been so so rewarding & I can’t wait to see where their relationship goes on this next chapter of their lives.
Carolyn & Matt got married at Hidden Creek in Heath, Tx! Carolyn had a clear vision of what she wanted on her wedding day & she wasn’t going to let anything stray her from that vision! She had touches of blush, rose gold & greenery everywhere! She had her dress custom made & I mean come on LOOK AT IT – it is stunning & there will never be another dress out there like it! She also let her bridesmaids were different dresses & I loved that touch because it let them give a little of their personality to the wedding! Also, can we take a moment for their ceremony decor – Tammy from T & T flowers & gifts KILLED the game with these flowers! There were so many sweet sweet moments from this wedding that I could talk about all day but I will share this one. Their first look touched my heart, Matt told me at the engagement session & at dinner after her bridal session that he was not going to cry & BOY did he tear up, they both did! It was such a sweet moment to be a part of. Carolyn surprised her mom with a special mother & daughter dance & boy when I tell you I had to take a moment to gather my tears, these dances mean so much to me because I did it with my own mother at my wedding, her mom was so surprised when the DJ announced it & there was not a dry tear while they were on the dance floor. Another part of their wedding day that I ABSOLUTELY loved was the SUN, the sun decided it was time to come play during their portraits session & even though everyone wanted to go inside because it was FREEZING outside I said no & stood my grounds & you will see why below! You cant tell it was 10 degrees outside! Once we went inside for the reception it was nothing but a huge huge party – their bridal party & guest kept the party going all night! Then they had the most perfect sparkler exit to their perfect wedding day! I am so honored that I was apart of this day & I am so honored to be walking away with 2 new amazing friends! Congratulations Mr & Mrs. Wenhold!
